Maxim Vengerov graduates as a conductor with a diploma of excellence

Congratulations go to Maxim Vengerov who graduated as a conductor in June 2014, with a diploma of excellence from the Moscow institute of Ippolitov-Ivanov under professor Maestro Simonov.

Maxim Vengerov on tour in France & Belgium

mv-news-1Mid- July will see Maxim Vengerov in France and Belgium for a mini tour with pianist Itamar Golan. The tour will be comprised of two recitals, which will take place in Bordeaux at the Chateaux Smith Haut Lafitte (July 16th), and in Brussels at the Musica Mundi festival 2014 (July 19th), during which he will also be giving a master class.

The recital repertoire will include Elgar’s violin sonata in E minor (op.82), Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in F minor (op. 80), followed by a series of virtuoso shorts – a program for which Maxim has previously received great critical acclaim ( during his artist spotlight residency (2013/14) at the Barbican Centre, London.

Maxim Vengerov on tour with Long Yu & Friends

1891516_671154609619766_2709976534911165750_oThe beginning of July will see Maxim Vengerov appearing alongside Maesto Long Yu & Friends in what critics confirm as an “absolutely stellar soloist line-up…” (Time Out Beijing). The concerts in Beijing  July 1st and Shanghai July 4th, will feature two world premieres (Tan Dun and John Williams respectively). Mr Vengerov will perform two showpieces by Saint-Saens (Havanaise) and (Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso) as well as Kreisler (Tambourin Chinois).


Maxim Vengerov to close the Russian Philharmonic’s 2013/14 season

Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 12.40.09 PMOn June 19, Maxim Vengerov will close the Moscow City Symphony – Russian Philharmonic’s 2013/14 concert season as soloist and conductor. The concert, which will take place at the Moscow International House of Music, will feature Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade followed by Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.5 for violin and orchestra.
